Writing content for your marketing
by
Your promotional materials should be able to create an emotional connection between you and the reader. Imagine yourself talking to your best customer. From there, you can find the right words to use in your copy. This way, you’ll be able to sound professional yet friendly. Avoid using technical words in your paragraphs so you won’t end up confusing your readers or better yet use industry-specific terms your audience would understand.
I suggest taking this exercise of “imagine yourself talking to your best customer” to the next level, by actually recording your pitch or conversation with your customer. Of course get their permission if their voice is being recorded, but I say simply record your side of the phone conversation. Then go back to review the conversation.
You will be able to observe your language and even pick up on when you may be saying something that needs further explanation.
The real challenge to writing content is not the lack of coming up with ideas, its how to capture these ideas and converting them into rough drafts.
