Understanding your customers
by
Do you know who your customers are? Do you know how they will react to your website?
Websites for your business can be costly to develop, and you don’t want to waste that money, getting in the head of your customers and delivering content and designs that will communicate to these customers is the biggest challenge.
I have to admit that when trying to get in the head of your target audience, it can be a bit frustrating, because I want there to be some magical tool that I can use to help me make informed design decisions, but the fact is, is that there are no such magical tools.
The most important tool a business has are their past customers. Consider approaching your last 10 customers and ask them to participate in a focus group for your website design. Consider giving them something for their time, and keep the focus group short.
Here is an excellent tool you can use to create the focus group test that will record the reaction of the user along with the path their mouse takes, which will give some great insight into how you can improve the experience of your site.
