Now back to getting your company on facebook as of december 1st 2009 facebook announced that they had reached over 350 million users with the ages of 35 to 54 being the fastest growing group if you don’t have a presence on facebook then your missing out on a truly valuable marketing tool

 

Follow along as I help you a basic facebook campaign for your business

 

First you will need to create a personal account, if you already have one its a good Idea to set up a new one that will be used specifically for your business…

 

Before you start collect some information about yourself and your business. Then visit facebook.com follow the steps to set up a new account and just remember this account will be attached to your business page so refrain from doing or saying anything you wouldn’t want your customers to know about.

 

Adding your family and friends to this new account can help attract new customers just be sure these connections make since with your business goals.

 

If you have successfully set up a new account this is what you should see.

Now that you have a new account set up you can now begin to add your business.

 

First log out of your account

 

Just below the sign up button you will see a “Create a Page” for a celebrity, band or business link.

 

Select your industry Name the page your company then enter the credentials to your personal account this is what you page should look like

 

Now your all set!

 

Now you can add your company’s logo and a blurb about your business you can now begin to post topics on your wall add photos to your album and start attracting fans to your fanpage, to link to this facebook fanpage

 

Copy and paste the “view page” link from your dashboard. Where’s you dashboard you say?

 

At the bottom left of your facebook page you should see a link titled “ads & pages” which will lead you to a section where you can promote your page with an ad its a good idea to try this afterwards its cheap and its targeting tools are pretty awesome

 

But for now we want the pages link. This will lead you to your dashboard. Which along with your “view page link ” you have access to page’s settings and stats, you can also add some cool applications that can enhance your users experience.

 

Just having a page on facebook won’t bust down the doors with customers, but if you add value to your visitors you will attract fans that could potentially become customers

 

Make sure you add value by posting tips or topics on your wall that proove to be useful to your customers.

 

Not only is this a great tool that could potentially bring new business its free !

 

So you really don’t have anything to loose.
