Can Graphic Design influence a buyer to do something?
by
I often get fascinated when I hear how “design” can effluence a buyer to do something. As a designer I want to say that it can but I have to say the more and more I think about it I am not convinced that silhouetting images combining them with some graphical elements or textures matched with fonts a color could really be that powerful.
One thing that I can agree with is the power of color when it is used in a bold fashion. But when done subtlety I think colors can picked at minimum.
But I am not too convinced that there is a clear definition, to color, I think it is still interpreted by the user. Red could be sexy but it could also be danger, and blue can be corporate but it can also be depressing.
I think I will stick to Van Gogh’s color theory which was to pick colors at random “who really cares”
