Are you taking advantage of what BBB has to offer?
by
Earlier this year I was presented with the opportunity to become an accredited business for the BBB. Even though I had to pay a membership fee I realized what an honor this was. So I quickly signed up and threw their logo on my site with a link to my profile page.
I got an invite to go to a BBB gathering and decided I needed a change from being chained to my workstation in my studio, and go out and meet some people in person.
It wasn’t a network meeting per-say but everyone there was ready to exchange business cards, which My new batch came 20 minuted after I came back. Any whoot, it was a great way to connect with other businesses. And Especially through the BBB, this organization is dedicated to proving links to reputable businesses for consumers. They don’t promote anyone, but they score them on a pretty extensive algorithm. The rating isn’t a personal feeling about a company, its objective facts that go into the ratings. Also being accredited is not the same as simply being a member. By being accredited, you as the company in the listing, agrees to uphold the standards set by the BBB.
Which I think is a great thing, if you fly the BBB logo then it means that you agree to be honest, be transparent, honor promises, be responsive, and conduct business with the utmost integrity. Values that I definitely say I try to honor. So I look forward to going to more meetings, where I can find other businesses that share the same value. If you are a consumer go to the bbb.org website and search what your looking for through there. if you ever have a problem, bbb will help resolve it or the company will lose its credentials and it could effect their rating. If your a business, looking to become a member contact them to get put into their holding tank to be reviewed. And once you get the opportunity to do it then jump at the chance.
